Antic British comedy In the Loop will premiere on demand this month followings its U.S. theatrical release on July 24, Variety reports.

The film adopts a stripped-down comedic aesthetic to poke fun at U.S.-British relations on the brink of war. James Gandolfini stars in the movie, a hit at Sundance this year.

Distributor IFC Films has made one of the most aggressive efforts in the industry to take advantage of video-on-demand, technology that many believe will transform the way movies are released in the years ahead.
