Fourth Annual Reeperbahn Festival Boasts International Lineup

If you're over Oktoberfest or just looking for an excuse to explore a different part of Germany, head over to Hamburg at the end of September for the Reeperbahn Festival, the three-night festival that brings 170 acts to 20 different clubs in the same city that launched Beatlemania more than 40 years ago.

So far the lineup boasts an international crew, including American Dinosaur Jr., Maplewood, Au Revoir Simone, Slightly Stoopid, William Elliott Whitmore and Fleet Foxes drummer/solo artist J. Tillman, Iceland’s singer-songwriter Emiliana Torrini and the Norwegian four-girl-band Katzenjammer. Britain brings post-punk rockers The Editors as well as The Cinematics. Germany’s own superstars, Deichkind, promises to draw a crowd. Check out our coverage of last year's festival for a taste of what to expect.

The festival runs Sept. 24 through 26, with tickets available in one, two and three-day passes. More information and a full lineup is available at the Reeperbahn Festival website.
