Fox Searchlight Picks Up Jeff Bridges Flick About Fallen Country Singer

The Jeff Bridges drama Crazy Heart, which we've told you about previously, has picked up American distribution with Fox Searchlight.

The movie follows a faded, alcoholic country singer (Bridges) and his relationships with a reporter (Maggie Gyllenhaal), his mentor (Robert Duvall) and a rising star (Colin Farrell). It features original music by T-Bone Burnett and is expected to open next spring.
