<em>Jennifer's Body</em> to Premiere at Toronto Film Fest

Diablo Cody’s possessed-cheerleader farce Jennifer’s Body will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival as part of the Midnight Madness section.

The movie, set to open Sept. 18, has enjoyed reverent hype because of its brand-name screenwriter, ascendant stars Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried and a saucy red-band trailer that tore through the internet earlier this month. 

Although Toronto is an enormous festival, the decision to premiere the movie on such a large stage could signal studio confidence in the movie headed into its release—in other words, a good sign for the Cody faithful.
