No Age Reveals Details About Losing Feeling EP

Last year, No Age brought us Nouns, and the album cracked the top 25 of our year-end best-of list. So it's safe to say we were pretty pleased when we heard the punky/shoegazey (Punkgaze? Shoepunk? Oh, nevermind...) duo had another full-length up their flannel sleeves, to be preceded by Losing Feeling, an EP available on 12" vinyl and as a digital download on Oct. 6. That's right, it's exclusively old-school or new-school for the impending Sub Pop release.

No Age guitarist Randy Randall promises the upcoming releases are taking the band in a new direction. As he told Pitchfork, "We're writing songs that are maybe a little bit more left-field than some of the songs that were on the album." Maybe the change in direction came from the change in location. All of the EP was penned in the band's new home studio, and "Genie" was even recorded there.

No Age recently wrapped up its summer tour, but it has a few dates planned with Deerhunter and Dan Deacon next month, where we can only hope they'll debut some Losing Feeling tunes.
