Panic at the Disco Not Panicking Over Loss Of Bassist, Guitarist

First, the band lost its exclamation point. Now, Panic at the Disco has lost half its members, with bassist Jon Walker and guitarist Ryan Ross recently announcing that they would both be leaving the group. Despite this setback, however, the rest of Panic at the Disco plans to continue producing music and follow through with its upcoming tour dates with blink-182 and No Doubt, although there is no word on who will serve as replacements in the group.

According to posts on the band's official site, the split is an amicable one. "Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realize that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us," reads a note signed by Ryan and Jon. Similarly, remaining members Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith wrote, "It’s been an amazing journey being in a band with them, but sometimes individual tastes take friends in different directions and you can’t ignore it. They are some of the most talented guys we know, and we’re sure that whatever they do next will be great."
