Ahh, the interwebs. It's been a staple in the music industry's promotional toolbox for quite some time, and now Pearl Jam is savvily taking the viral marketing strategy to a new level.

To hype the masses for its album Backspacer, which will be released Sept. 20, Pearl Jam is hoping you'll participate in its online scavenger hunt. The mysterious contest entails nine different pieces of art that will be on the forthcoming album, all created by cartoonist Tom Tomorrow.
