Power Chord Academy Connects Aspiring Rockers With Actual Rockers MXPX, Something Corporate, More

Forget the long days of mosquito bites and popsicles that accompany a typical day at summer camp. At Power Chord Academy, musically-inclined kids ages 12-18 spend their days living the rock star life, forming bands, writing and recording with major artists, and producing songs in a professional studio.

The summer session at PCA this year features a punchy, eclectic lineup of guests, including MXPX, Ministry, Rocket From the Crypt, Avail, Mae, Something Corporate, Hot Water Music, Riverboat Gamblers, The Lives of Famous Men, Dr. Manhattan, Totally Michael, and others.
Each week, a different band will perform for the students and offer guidance and inspiration as they move forward in their own musical careers.

Power Chord Academy was established in 1999 and offers camps in locations across the country. The organization has three programs: PCA, the full seven-day program; Overdrive, the three-day camp; and Amplify, a single-day clinic. For more information or to sign up, visit PowerChordAcademy.com.
