Slash Gets a Little Help From His Friends Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne and Flea on New Album

Slash has lent his guitar work to numerous projects throughout his career, so we understand him wanting to try his hand at a solo record. The ex-Guns N' Roses/current-Velvet Revolver guitarist is pulling some tricks out of the top hat and enlisting the help of old bandmates, friends and some unfamiliar faces to work on the upcoming album.

Slash posted on his MySpace page that ex-GNR drummer Steven Adler and Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist Flea joined him in the studio last week. "Steven Adler played on the first of the last three tracks yesterday, along with Flea on bass," Slash writes. "The song kicks ass & the drums & bass sound so recognizable & sound so fucking good. Steven is staying clean, which is great, Flea is just amazing, period."

Slash also says that ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin helped on a track for the record. "It was good to see him, it's been awhile," writes Slash. "Our guitars together really do have a sound all their own."

Meanwhile, according UltimateGuitar, Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie Wood and Fergie (!?) will also appear on the album.
