The Besnard Lakes to Score Mark Ruffalo's Sympathy For Delicious
Mark Ruffalo has found a delectable symphony for his upcoming Sympathy For Delicious. The Playlist reports that Montreal indie-psych group The Besnard Lakes will provide the score for Ruffalo's directorial debut.
The movie follows a paralyzed DJ who discovers he posses a miraculous gift for curing the sick. Orlando Bloom plays a (very glamish looking) rock singer who tries to exploit the wax spinning Green Miler.
Originally, James Franco was cast for Bloom's character. Before he dropped out of the project, he told MTV, "This DJ character was written for [Mark's] friend who’s actually paraplegic in real life, Chris Thornton, and he’s this DJ that has kind of a gift. He joins up with my band and then starts getting more attention than me, the lead singer. So I start getting upset about that.”
The Playlist also reports that the film will have "two or three licensed other tracks" and some have speculated that the Mars Volta will join in on the fun.
