Since his June 25 death, Michael Jackson has seen a spike not only in record sales but pretty much anything he's ever been affiliated with.
According to Billboard, the Recording Industry Association of America
is expecting Thriller to soon become the top-selling U.S. album of all time.
That title previously belonged to the Eagles for Their Greatest Hits
1971-1975.
Their Greatest Hits was released in 1976 and was certified platinum 29
times, meaning that 29 million copies of the album had been shipped
since it's initial release.
Back in March, the RIAA certified 1982's Thriller 28 times platinum. This number only counts how many units have been shipped, and do not necessarily equate to album scans. But according to MTV, "If the pace continues,Thriller will become the first album to go triple diamond, meaning 30 million albums sold."

I'd say this deserves the top spot a lot more than the Eagles.
