Here come the Coen Brothers. Their new movie, A Serious Man, follows a middle-class Jewish academic in turmoil, and it’s already famous because it presents a vaguely autobiographical portrait of their childhood (it was filmed in the brothers’ native Minnesota).
The first trailer—set to a soundtrack of a guy getting his head bashed against a chalkboard—makes the movie look like their funniest in years. Fargo funny. Seriously, we choked. The movie premieres at the Toronto film fest in September, so in the meantime, enjoy:


Looks cute. Burn After Reading not only didn't amuse me, it actively pissed me off, which was unfortunate because I had the feeling they were trying to amuse me.
