Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is not exactly a tough sell. Besides the director’s brand name, we have Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, an enormous budget and the Walt Disney banner, which all but guarantee this thing is going to be huge.
That said, the first trailer, which debuted on IGN and was promptly ordered down by Disney, makes an obvious bid to quell concerns that the movie will be a creepfest a la Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There is a heavy emphasis on computer-generated whimsy, some of which looks majestic, and some of which, frankly, needs a little more work.
Oddly, the trailer also seeks to establish the Alice origin story we all know rather than offer specific insight into Burton’s vision. There’s plenty of time for that (the movie doesn’t open until March 5, 2010), so for now, we’ll take what we can get. We’ve embedded the only version we can still find online below, but it's not the best quality, so link to others in the comments if you can find them.

Isn't one pasty-faced madman in the movies in such a short time span enough?
I enjoyed a lot viewing this trailer and hope to see more of it soon....thanks!
I actually liked Tim Burton's Willy Wonka. I thought it was a lot less creepy than the Gene Wilder version. I probably won't see this, because the CGI seriously looks bad.
I also can't get over how much Johnny Depp looks like Elijah Wood with that make up on.
I wished you would have used the ign embedded code instead of MSN.
Much better quality!
