Nothing goes together like music, barbecue and, um, half-marathons, especially in fall Mid-Missouri weather. The initial lineup for the third annual Roots 'N Blues 'N BBQ Festival has been confirmed and features The Dan Tyminski Band, Booker T Jones, Blind Boys of Alabama, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears and SteelDrivers.
The event will be held September 25-26 in Columbia, Mo. and will also feature a BBQ competition and a half-marathon. At least 23 more artist are expected to be announced in the next month.
One-day passes purchased in advance are $10, weekend passes purchased
in advance are $15. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster
locations, The Blue Note box office and Break Time locations throughout
Mid-Missouri. Children 12 and under will be admitted into the Festival free of
charge. Tickets purchased at the Festival gates will be $15 for a
one-day pass and $25 for a weekend pass.
