Brendan Benson Hits Old, Familiar Road for U.S. Tour

Brendan Benson has announced a U.S. tour in support of his upcoming album My Old, Familiar Friend. The album will be The Raconteurs axe-man's fourth solo release and will hit stores Aug. 18.

The tour kicks off Aug. 17 at New York's Bowery Ballroom and will end Sept. 12 in Los Angeles. Benson will also be the musical guest for The Late Show With David Letterman on Aug. 21 playing the first single off the new album, "A Whole Lot Better."

My Old, Familiar Friend was recorded in Nashville and London and was produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters) and was mixed by Dave Sardy (The Rolling Stones, Oasis).
