Diane Keaton to Head Up HBO Comedy About Porn Mag
Diane Keaton has signed up to play a feminist idol who starts an explicit sex magazine for women in a new half-hour comedy series for HBO.
The untitled show, written by veteran Marti Noxon (Mad Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), will follow said idol’s attempts to rekindle the contemporary women’s movement with the magazine. She will be modeled on Gloria Steinem, the feminist heavyweight who was in the headlines most recently for her blunt, contentious Op-Eds on the 2008 presidential election. HBO recently found a half-hour comedy hit in Hung, another series with an outwardly sexual premise as its lynchpin. Related links:
