Quentin Tarantino to Share Personal Playlist on Sirius Today

Quentin Tarantino to Share Personal Playlist on Sirius Today

Music has always been an integral part of Quentin Tarantino movies, though often that's more because of his characters' conversations than the actual soundtrack. With the release of his latest flick, Inglourious Basterds, Tarantino will be hosting a special today on Sirius XM radio to share a personal (and downright eclectic) playlist he crafted during the filming process.

“[This list includes]…some of the music I was listening to while making my movie Inglourious Basterds,” Tarantino explained. “Now these songs don’t necessarily have a damn thing to do with the movie. These were some of the ones I was listening to in my off time.” The playlist will include tracks from Jay-Z, Britney Spears, KT Tunstall, David Bowie and Barbra Streisand. Naturally, he's got a personal anecdote or two about these artists to share as well, like what performing with the Wu-Tang Clan was like, and his abiding appreciation for Bob Dylan.

The special will air today, Aug. 21, at 3:00pm EST on Sirius channel 25 and XM channel 59 on the program "Little Steven's Underground Garage". The program will be rebroadcast on the following dates and stations (all times Eastern):
