Apparently, the Todd Phillips summer blockbuster The Hangover made a splash in unexpected ways. Sure, it was another huge hit in a spate of bromance/raunchy guy-comedies, ensuring that we will be seeing many more of these types of films until long after we are tired of them. But the comedies aren't just for frat boys anymore. Now baby boomers are getting in on the action.
Behold the unlikely story of Dan Fogelman, writer of Cars and Fred Claus, and director Peter Chelsom, of Hannah Montana: The Movie fame, who have reportedly signed on to make the tentatively titled Last Vegas. It is the story of four 60-somethings who travel from Coney Island to Vegas to celebrate their friends' late-in-life first marriage. It was bought by CBS Films and is due to begin production early 2010.
