Roger Daltrey Gets Ready for His First Solo Tour Since 1985

Roger Daltrey may be getting older, but he has a plan to keep himself singing on stage as long as possible. His "Use it or Lose it" solo tour begins Oct. 10 in Vancouver, a solo venture that the vocalist believes will help keep his voice "in trim," according to The Who's website.

In his first solo tour since 1985, Daltrey will play 29 dates throughout October and November in smaller venues, rather than the amphitheaters The Who normally plays. His setlists will consist of plenty of Who numbers, as well as songs from his solo repertoire and covers. He will be joined onstage by Simon Townshend (guitar, backup vocals), Frank Simes (guitar), Loren Gold (keyboards), Jon Button (bass) and Scott Devours (drums).

On his website, Daltrey announced, "I want to give people a good night out. The economic situation being what it is these days, I think that’s what they want: to go out and feel they’ve had a good jolly-up.”

Tickets will be available for pre-sale beginning Aug. 5 at TheWho.com.
