Those Darlins Announce Fall Tour Dates

Those Darlins have a decidedly unique living situation. The eclectic trio, whose music taps into rock, pop, punk and country, all cohabitate in a house outside of Nashville in Murfreesboro, Tenn. In their yard, "littered with musical instruments and cast-off whiskey bottles, they stick wires in the spindle holes of old LPs, hang them from a magnolia tree, and shoot them with BB guns."

The neighborhood was probably a little quieter in 2009, though. The Darlins embarked on a headlining tour that earned them a handful of critical nods, including a spot on Paste's Best of What's Next 2009 lineup. They then accompanied garage-blues conceptualist Dan Auerbach (of the Black Keys) in a nationwide, 10-city tour that capped off with buzzed-about debut at South by Southwest.

Now, they've announced fall tour dates. The tour kicked off Saturday (Aug. 22) in Chattanooga and caps off with a Halloween show in Houston featuring the Meat Puppets. Let’s hope the Darlins leave their BB guns at home.
