Frank Spotnitz, one of the chief writers on The X-Files, has entered pacts to write two new furturistic series for HBO.
According to Variety, one of the shows, Humanitas, will launch in a near future where science has advanced to the point where doctors question the good of their progress and the years ahead for humanity feel fragile. The other, based on the fearsome sci-fi novel The World Inside, will jump several hundred years ahead where the Earth’s population has grown irrevocably out of control in a society that covets reproduction above all else. Spotnitz also has a concept series about a former spy in the works at FX. He last wrote The X-Files: I Want to Believe.Related links:
