Gossip Girl Star to Join Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner in Ben Affleck's The Town

Gossip Girl starlet Blake Lively has been cast opposite Ben Affleck, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall (Vicki Cristina Barcelona), Chris Cooper and Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) in The Town, a crime thriller that will also mark Affleck’s second feature as a director.

According to THR, the Boston-set thriller will follow career criminals (Affleck, Renner) along with their families (Cooper), targets (Hall) and lovers (Lively). It begins shooting this month.

Affleck also has Arizona in the pipeline, a film version of the life of an enterprising Arizona Republic reporter whose murder was orchestrated by the mob.
