It's Official: Mad Men Will be Back for Fourth Season

It’s about time. AMC has confirmed that Mad Men has been picked up for a fourth season as its third go-around shapes up to be the most-watched and -discussed the celebrated series has had so far.

The announcement includes the continued participation of Matthew Weiner, the show’s creator, who was reportedly close to walking off the series last year after AMC haggled extensively with his contract demands. He is widely credited as the show’s mastermind.

As Mad Men’s cultural clout expands, AMC hopes it will continue to carve out a larger audience outside of the awards circles it already has on lockdown.
