Lover! Releases EP, Tours U.S.

Rich Crook has already made quite a name for himself in the Memphis punk underground as a fellow traveler and drummer for The Reatards, later joining Jay Reatard and Alicja Trout as part of the legendary Lost Sounds crew. And after a few more side projects and tours, he took some time off to work an oil rig, where he was baptized in crude and reborn as the maestro of the power-pop outfit Lover!

Now two albums into his career as Lover!, Crook has relocated to Chicago and nailed down a solid lineup for the band. Mid-September saw the release of their No Dreams Please EP, available on Big Legal Mess Records. And news of a U.S. tour has just emerged, which will see Crook crisscrossing the lower forty-eight, including a slot at this year's Scion Garage Fest:
