Mark Knopfler Announces New Album, Spring Tour

September 14, 2009  |  3:00pm
Former Dire Straits frontman Mark Knopfler has announced spring U.S. tour dates to support his sixth studio solo record, Get Lucky, which will hit stores about six months before his first show. Needless to say, his live sets should be well ripened by then.

Get Lucky's 11 tracks reminisce on Knopfler's musical roots and was aptly co-produced by longtime collaborators Chuck Ainlay and keyboardist Guy Fletcher. Tickets for the upcoming shows are available online via his website, where a free copy of the new record will given with every pair of tickets purchased.
