NYU Student Swaps Woody Allen's Manhattan for Brooklyn, Keeps the Gershwin

The opening scene of Woody Allen's Manhattan zooms in and out of its namesake city, going back and forth between images of cultural decay and architectural grandeur. The audience hears Allen drafting a chapter depicting his own view and relationship with of New York, ditching description after description before he picks his choice of introduction:

"Chapter one. He was as tough and romantic as the city he loved. Behind his black-rimmed glasses was the coiled sexual power of a jungle cat. New York was his town, and it always will be."

But in an upcoming spoof by a New York University student, modern society may be possessed by more than such pent-up prowess. In fact, these days the kids are apparently claiming, "I could go to bed with the entire staff of N+1 if I wanted to!"

With a setting swap, Ricky D'Ambrose's Brooklyn also interchanges Manhattan's May-December conflicts with modern-day issues of relationship commitment. He notes via YouTube that a feature film is indeed in the works, but he has yet to set a release date.
