AMC's Mad Men captures the style and social climate of the early '60s in a darkly sexy and understated way, tying together romantic, political and historical plot lines with a sea of skinny ties, dapper suits and clinking brandy glasses. What better match for the show then the lady who gives away free cars!
But seriously, according to the New York Times' ArtsBeat, Mad Men's January Jones and Jon Hamm will visit Oprah on her talk show this afternoon.
The episode, called "The Oprah Winfrey Show: Oprah Goes Back in Time—The '60's," will see the afternoon TV giant redone with a '60's-themed set, a performance from Broadway's "Jersey Boys" and a chat with Hamm and Jones. The only thing missing is Christopher Lloyd showing up before the first commercial break and stuffing the entire audience into a Delorean set on '63. Now that would be good television.
Oprah's never one to skimp on the details, either. Everyone in the audience will be dressed in '60's outfits.
