R. Kelly to Finish Unreleased Michael Jackson Songs
R. Kelly, the self-declared king of R&B, has revealed plans to finish and release tracks the king of pop recorded before his untimely death.
Kelly and Michael Jackson had been working together in Kelly's home
studio before Jackson died on June 25. Their work
relationship was a rekindled one, since Kelly had also
written Jackson's platinum-selling single "You Are Not Alone."
"I was going
to finish what Michael was doing at the time," he told Black Voices, later adding, "Michael liked the way I would try to sing the songs just like him."
No release date for the tracks has been set, but expect more news to
come sometime after Kelly's fall tour promoting the Oct. 13 release of Untitled. "We're going to get it out," he said.
