Ratatat to Back Kid Cudi on Letterman's Late Show

Ratatat to Back Kid Cudi on Letterman's Late Show

In its first ever late-night television performance, Ratatat will be backing recent Paste Artist of the Week Kid Cudi at The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday.

Pitchfork reports that Ratatat will join a string quartet and DJ to perform "Pursuit of Happiness," the next single off of Cudi's debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day.

Cudi first revealed plans to work with Ratatat in February, calling the collaboration "the biggest album I will ever create." He had also approached Andre 3000 and Lily Allen, though he instead ended up collaborating with MGMT and Band of Horses.

Man on the Moon is slated for a Sept. 15 release, through Dream On/G.O.O.D./Universal Motown.
