Sam Raimi to Produce Abominable Snowman Movie

Normally, a film about a remote Himalayan village under attack by a fictional cold-weather beast would be the stuff of B-movie horror-genre drivel. But with Sam Raimi involved, it has the potential to be a deliciously witty gore-fest well worth seeing.

Raimi has signed on to co-produce an abominable snowman movie, currently going by the title of The Refuge, with newcomer director Corin Hardy. The film will be written by Tom de Ville (a writer on TV series like the sci-fi Lexx and the horror Urban Gothic). Hardy is best known as a music video director for artists such as The Prodigy and Keane.
