The blues-rocking duo Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys will soon try their luck in the hip-hop universe. Under the pseudonym BlakRoc, they plan to release a self-titled, hybrid rap-rock record of sorts, slated for a Nov. 27 debut.
BlakRoc partnered with hip-hop producer Damon Dash, among other talents who are more versed in the ways of dropping beats. The record will feature contributions from Jim Jones, Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Raekwon, Ludacris, Nikki Wray, Billy Danze and the late great Ol' Dirty Bastard.
