Watch Will Ferrell, Jon Hamm and Friends Shtick Up for Health Care Reform

September 22, 2009  |  4:30pm
Will Ferrell and his fellow funny somebodies are playing their part in the ongoing health care debate with a new video released via Ferrell's comedy website Funny or Die and MoveOn.org.

Filmed as a mock PSA aimed at protecting health insurance companies, the clip runs just over two minutes and prefaces with a pool of actors poignantly declaring, "Something terrible is happening." They go on to defend health-insurance executives with straight-faced sarcasm, calling them the true victims to consider in health care disputes.

The clip features the wit of Mad Men's Jon Hamm, Olivia Wilde of House, Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant of Reno 911, Masi Oka of Heroes and Donald Faison of Scrubs among other notables.

"I was thrilled to participate in this video because I'm one of the millions of Americans who considers health care to be a basic human right," said Wilde in a statement.
