Ellen Page Writing HBO Comedy Series

Just days after Whip It! hit theaters, Ellen Page decided to take a cue from Drew Barrymore and pursue a directorial debut of her own.

As announced yesterday, HBO has signed Page and fellow Whip It! co-stars Alia Shawkat and Sean Tillman to create a comedy series called Stitch N' Bitch (not to be mistaken for the knitting-book series).

The single-camera show will follow two "painfully cool" girls in hopes of becoming artists once they relocate from Brooklyn's Williamsburg to Los Angeles' Silver Lake, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Page and Shawkat may star as the young hipsters themselves, though they said they will further discuss casting later.
