Elvis Presley's Grandson Lands $5 Million Recording Contract

There's a new player in the court of the King.

Elvis Presley's 17-year-old grandson, Benjamin Presley, signed a recording contract with Universal worth a reported $5 million for up to five albums. Benjamin, who was born 15 years after his grandfather died, is the son of Lisa Marie Presley and ex-husband Danny Keough.

Although Benjamin certainly comes from a talented bloodline, the deal is undoubtedly a gamble—the teenager has never released any music and is currently working on what will become his debut album, due out next year—which is all the more reason that the news is reason for piqued interest.

Benjamin has reportedly already said that the music will sound "nothing like Elvis. Nothing like him at all." Welp, that answers that question. So what will it sound like? Here's hoping it's less like this and more like this.
