Fall Guide to Good TV: Stargate Universe

A long-running franchise launches a new spin-off about a group of humans who have been transported far across the universe and are now trying to return to home. (Where have we heard that before, Capt. Janeway?) But SyFy seems to be pulling out all the stops for what promises to be a darker, less silly and more action-packed Stargate series.
