It's time to bounce back from the collective sigh Beulah fans exhaled when the band said adieu in 2004: Former frontman Miles Kurosky is prepping his first solo album for a March 2010 release.
This concrete news, following a few years of aimless guessing about post-Beulah output, comes after Kurosky signing with Shout! Factory's Majordomo Records, about which he said in a statement: "Shout Factory made me an offer I coudln't refuse. Needless to say, I've never been happier to find the head of a horse between my sheets. I'm very excited to be part of the 'family.'"
Expectations will be riding high for Kurosky's debut album, as Beulah called it quits just as the band had reached its creative peak with 2003's Yoko and had toured with Wilco, Cake, Guided by Voices and Of Montreal.
Kurosky will launch a national tour following the yet-unnamed album's release. And to that, we say, "Welcome back."
