In honor of her debut EP, up-and-coming folkie Lissie released her first single and announced that she will be joining Ray LaMontagne on tour.
My Old Kentucky Blog also recently premiered “Little Lovin’,” the first single from the EP out Nov. 10 on Fat Possum. Lissie recorded most of that EP, Why You Runnin’, at her Ojai, Calif. farmhouse and at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, North Carolina. Friend Bill Reynolds, also the bassist of Band of Horses, produced the resulting Americana tracks.
Lissie will also hit the road with LaMontagne for his tour benefiting The National Children’s Cancer Society, as she headlines her own shows at New York’s Mercury Lounge and Los Angeles’ Bootleg Theater.
