Fans unable to catch Wilco's midwest shows in October can catch a surprise performance Saturday, via St. Paul, Minn.'s Fitzgerald Theater and radio airwaves.
Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion broadcast marks Wilco's second performance in a row this tour. The concert, also featuring country singer Patty Loveless, starts at 4:45
p.m. CST.
This performance also comes three months after the band dropped its fourth Nonesuch studio release, Wilco (The Album).
As drummer Glenn Kotche and bassist Darin Grey prep for their November
debut as On Fillmore, the entire band will continue touring the
States with Liam Finn until they return home to Chicago on Oct. 18.
Host Keiler has aired live performances through A Prairie Home Companion since July 1974, though he took a brief hiatus after suffering a stroke last month. Fans in St. Paul can
purchase tickets through the radio station website, though they can later catch Wilco (The Performance) in its archives.
