Marge Simpson to Grace Cover of November Playboy

For 20 years, fans of The Simpsons have plopped down on their couches to see what antics the Springfield family will get into next. And for nearly 53 years, fans of Playboy have checked out the female specimen in the privacy of their own home. But neither the television show nor the magazine dared to show some cartoon skin in a titillating way. That is, until now.

Founder Hugh Hefner first dropped a hint via Twitter in August, saying, "Marge Simpson has a surprise for her fans in the November issue of Playboy." But as TMZ.com, er, revealed, today, one of Paste's Best TV Moms of the Last 20 Years is officially confirmed as the magazine's first-ever cartoon cover star.

A three-page spread, though "obviously somewhat tongue-in-cheek," also promises to be a tasteful delivery of the mother of three, said Scott Flanders, Playboy's new CEO. Flanders further tells the Chicago Sun-Times that the issue, hitting newsstands only, is also designed to attract a younger demographic to the magazine. Meanwhile, subscribers can expect to see a celebrity in the actual flesh next month.
