Pete Yorn Launches Second Leg of Headlining Tour

October 8, 2009  |  7:30am
After years of seeing other singer-songwriters breeze past him into the mainstream, Pete Yorn is finally front and center. Which is not to say he hasn't due credit (his first single "For Nancy ('Cos It Already Is)" from his 2001 debut Musicforthemorningafter was a radio hit), but his duet album with Scarlet Johansson is throwing him in the center of many a-music fan's radar.

The album, Break Up, follows the She & Him model—slightly mysterious, emotional singer-songwriter pairs with indie-face-to-the-mainstream lady and releases record of folky pop gems. It seems to have worked for them.

Along with the release of Yorn's fourth record, Back and Fourth, and this just-announced fall tour, the hirsute singer-songwriter may just get the credit he deserves.
