Creator of Reno 911! to Helm New Pilot for NBC

Two months after announcing the end to Reno 911!, Thomas Lennon will create a new pilot for NBC.

Along with his Reno 911! co-creator and co-star Robert Ben Garant (who plays Deputy Travis Junior), Lennon has signed on to write and produce a new comedy for the network. No word yet on the premise of the show, but Lennon will star and Garant will have a supporting role.

Garant and Lennon are frequent collaborators and co-founded the sketch comedy show The StateThe pair have several film projects in the works for various studios, such as How to Survive a Robot Uprising at Paramount, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and The Devil You Know at Fox, and The Incredible Shrinking Man for Universal (which owns NBC).

Lennon recently acted in the films I Love You, Man and 17 Again.
