Singer-songwriter Robyn Hitchcock will continue to bulk up his scattered and elusive discography with his I Often Dream of Trains in New York concert-DVD and live-album release.
The concert was filmed during the U.S. portion of his I Often Dream of Trains Tour at Symphony Space in New York City in the fall of 2008. Originally airing as a special on the Sundance Channel, Hitchcock resurrects his 1984 acoustic album in its entirety, with tour mates Terry Edwards and Tim Keegan. The English multi-instrumentalist also shares the stage with trumpeter Amir El Saffar and vocalist Gaida Hinnawi. All three made up the Hitchcock-led band featured in the film, Rachel Getting Married.
The bundle is due out Nov. 11 under Yep Roc, packaged all in the form of a working phenakistoscope containing artwork by Hitchcock himself.
