Slash Records New Song With Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale

They both love guitar solos. They both write epic, chunky riffs. And they both have gigantic hair. So when we heard that Wolfmother’s Andrew Stockdale recorded a song for Slash’s upcoming solo album, we gave a nod of silent understanding.

The still-unnamed track will find a home on Slash’s upcoming solo album, due out next year and called, wait for it, Slash and Friends. Said friends also include Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne and Flea. What a popular guy.

Explaining the collaboration, on which Stockdale lends his impressive pipes, the Wolfmother leader told BBC’s Newsbeat, “Maybe because I’ve got that old school delivery it matches what he was trying to do. Guns N’ Roses in the 90s, they brought back in the danger in rock ‘n’ roll.”
