All right, folks, the day is almost finally upon us. Tuesday marks the release of The Flaming Lips' new, three-years-in-the-making, double album, Embryonic. And, in the typical Lips' fashion, it's going to be quite the spectacle.
A distinct few of the legion of Lips-obsessed will be able to take their new-album happiness to the next level come Wednesday. The band will play a one-off show at the Nike/Ricardo Montalblan Theater in Hollywood, and it'll be the band's last show until 2010. Tickets will be available at L.A.'s famous Amoeba Records with the purchase of Embryonic, as well as through KCRW 89.9 FM and LA Weekly. The show is first-come, first-serve, and as doors open at 6:30, expect people to be camped out hours earlier.
Good luck, Los Angelites.
