With a U.S. tour, a book release, and appearances at festivals such as Austin City Limits and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Todd Snider certainly had a busy summer season of storytelling. But with a radio show premiere and more tour dates to come, he also shows no sign of hibernating for the winter.
Snider’s “Volcano Radio Hour,” housed at Nashville radio station 97.1 RQQ, premiered yesterday with 60 minutes of songs, stories and phone calls. Consider it a regularly scheduled version of what Snider fans witness on stage, or of what he will catalogue in his book, Almost Everything I Say Is True. After all, as Paste discussed with Snider in July, the singer-songwriter has built quite a reputation of telling different versions of the same story.
Snider has also added dates to his U.S. tour, which means more opportunities for fans to discover these charming tendencies themselves, live and in person.
