Hulu for Kids: Jaroo
Hulu’s upcoming move to start charging its users for online programming in 2010 isn’t a bad thing for everyone, especially for youngsters who might not think about that stuff anyway. And besides, they have their own internet-TV site now, and it’s called Jaroo.
Similar to Hulu in both function and gibberish title, Jaroo is targeted at 4 to 12-year-olds. So far its programming includes shows such as Inspector Gadget, Paddington, Madeline, The Littles, The Legend of Zelda, Strawberry Shortcake, Pole Position and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Also like Hulu, Jaroo plays an ad before every episode, catered to the likings of its younger audience.
