The easy-to-spot, difficult-to-distinguish Watson Twins will release their sophomore album, Talking To You, Talking To Me, on Feb. 9 via Vanguard Records.
Lightly moving from their 2008 premier, Fire Songs, the twins will bring their same alt.country flavor, this time mixed with their Feist-like pop endeavors and Carol King-esque soulful inflections. The record was produced by J. Soda and Russell Pollard, who in June 2009 traveled with twins Chandra and Leigh to a remote cabin in the High Sierras near Yosemite to develop their concepts for the album, which promises to be their most ambitious to date. The songs were recorded back in Los Angeles with friends from Everest and My Morning Jacket.
To support Talking To You, Talking To Me, the twins are currently amidst a fall tour.
