Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Readies New Album for March 2010

Guitar fuzz-monsters Black Rebel Motorcycle Club never really left us (BRMC unleashed a ripping live set this year and an all-instrumental album in 2008), but the band will be back in full force this spring; BRMC will release its fifth studio album, Beat the Devil’s Tattoo, on March 9.

After 2007’s middling Baby 81, hopes are high that Tattoo will recapture the feedback-full, aggressive messiness of BRMC’s first two albums or the classic bluesy sound of 2005’s Howl. And it looks like the puzzle pieces are in order—the new album was recorded in the same Philadelphia studio as Howl on BRMC’s own label, Abstract Dragon.

Preceeding Tattoo’s release, BRMC will launch a two-month cross-country headlining trek:
