FlashForward Goes On Hiatus Until March

FlashForward Goes On Hiatus Until March

Another ABC series will join V in ducking out of January and February’s ratings race as the Winter Olympics looms ahead. New mystery thriller FlashForward won’t return to primetime until March 4, where it will finish its remaining 13 episodes uninterrupted.

Despite it’s intriguing concept, FlashForward’s audience has steadily declined since its premiere, from about twelve to seven million viewers (not counting DVR users), but creator David S. Goyer said the hiatus will ultimately be the best thing for the show during his interview with EW. Initially, the series was set for four pre-emptions during its final 13-episode arch, which the network considered a schedule too choppy for the engaging narrative. “…[Now] we can just knock the dominoes over and watch them fall in interesting ways,” said Goyer in the interview.

On that note, writers have definitely given fans plenty to mull over until FlashForward returns in March, when it will begin the final half of its first season.
