Green Day Gets a Rock Band Game
Green Day will be the next group represented by eerie doppelganger avatars on their own Rock Band game in the Fall of 2010.
The gameplay remains the same and the library will dip back into the band’s golden ’90s era as well as material from their latest rock opera, 21st Century Breakdown_. Tracks from their new album will be available for download in packs of three, according to RockBand.comexclusive.
“We are excited to be working with MTV and Harmonix,” said frontman Billie Joe Armstrong in a statement. “They are leaders and visionaries in the world of music and video games, and Rock Band is a really cool way for fans of all ages to experience our music.”
It’s certainly an accomplishment for the decades-old punksters, but they’ve got a ways to go before they get a whole Xbox designed after them.
